Silica and rock dust load an element in days, not months. Restoring it in the site workshop keeps the machine working and the consumable budget where it was planned.
On a quarry floor or a pit haul road, an engine air element can be at its service limit within a working week. Every loader, dozer and haul truck on site is pulling the same load, and every one of them is competing for the same replacement stock.
Two things hurt: the cost of the elements themselves, and the machine sitting still while a part is found. Cleaning on site addresses both — the element goes back in the same day.
The 100–300 mm bore range covers the cylindrical engine elements on loaders, excavators, dozers, drill rigs and most haul trucks. Very large multi-stage intake systems may need more than one pass, or a different approach — ask before ordering.
| Loader / excavator engine element | Fits — 100–300 mm bore range |
|---|---|
| Dozer and drill rig engine element | Fits — check bore on large units |
| Haul truck primary element | Usually — large multi-stage systems vary |
| Cab pressuriser filter | No — panel type |
The same four steps every time, which is the point — the result should not depend on who is on shift.
Remove the element and knock the loose cake off outside the workshop.
Centre the element and set the positioning arms to the bore.
Full circumference, inside out, at a pressure the media tolerates.
Light behind the element. Refit if sound; scrap it if the media is compromised.
Dry silica dust is exactly what the machine is for — it lifts the dust out of the pleats instead of driving it through. What it cannot do is remove oil or water contamination, which some site conditions will cause.
The unit has no electrical components at all; it runs on compressed air. Site rules still govern where you can operate, but there is no motor, switch or cable to introduce an ignition risk.
Then it is finished. Cleaning restores a sound element to service; it does not repair torn media. Inspection after each clean is part of the procedure for that reason.
Send us the machine types on site and the element sizes you stock. We will quote units per workshop plus a spare head, and can include the shipping terms that suit your procurement.
