Harvest is short and dust is constant. Cleaning between shifts keeps the same element in the machine for the whole season instead of chasing replacements mid-window.
A combine harvester works in conditions that would be considered a dust test anywhere else: chaff, straw dust and soil fines, all day, for weeks. There is no convenient moment to lose a machine to an element change.
Farm workshops and dealers usually run a handful of machines rather than a fleet, which makes the per-unit economics simpler: one cleaner covers every tractor, harvester and telehandler on the yard.
Tractors, combine harvesters, telehandlers and sprayers use cylindrical engine elements that sit inside the 100–300 mm range. Cab and HVAC filters are panel type and are not part of this job.
| Tractor engine element | Fits — 100–300 mm bore range |
|---|---|
| Combine harvester engine element | Fits — check bore on larger machines |
| Telehandler / sprayer element | Fits — typical bore in range |
| Cab / HVAC filter | No — panel type |
The same four steps every time, which is the point — the result should not depend on who is on shift.
Remove it at the end of the shift and knock off the loose chaff.
Centre it on the base plate and set the arms to the bore.
Inside out, full circumference, at a pressure the paper tolerates.
Light behind the element. Refit if sound, replace if the media is gone.
If it was stored dry and the media is intact, yes. If dust was left in the pleats and has drawn moisture, inspect carefully — caked or mouldy media should be replaced, not cleaned.
It needs a workshop air line at a usable pressure rather than a large volume. Set the regulator to suit the element; the gauge shows what you are actually applying.
For a mixed fleet of tractors, a harvester and a telehandler, one unit is normally enough — cleaning is done at the end of a shift, not continuously.
Tell us the machine mix you support and whether you also supply elements. We can quote single units, dealer quantities or a private-label programme.
